Specialist wholesaler, Trilanco Ltd, has won the Family Business Award 2018 at the Lancashire Business View’s prestigious Red Rose Awards.
Martin Balmer, Trilanco’s Managing Director said: “We are delighted to have won this award and also to have been nominated as finalists in two categories. Winning means a lot to us as a business and as a family with three generations of Balmers working for the company.”
Commenting on Trilanco, the Red Rose Awards judges said: “This is a family business that invests and empowers. They are innovative and nimble and maximise opportunities when they see them. Trilanco has a growing international reach and the ambition to produce continued growth.”
Martin added: “Trilanco was the vision of my father who started trading as an agricultural products wholesaler in 1979, and as the demand for equine and pet products increased over the years, the company evolved and we’re still growing today.
“We have a truly dedicated team of employees with industry knowledge and many years’ experience. This award is a tribute to everyone’s hard work.”
The Red Rose Awards is the biggest awards event to celebrate business in Lancashire. Businesses from all over the county entered a range of award categories and a handful were selected by a panel of judges to make it through to the interview stage as finalists.
