The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) is delighted to announce that Sally Crickmore has taken on the role of PIF Education Advisor to oversee the development of PIF’s qualifications and training. She is taking over the reins from Meriel France who is stepping down as Education & Animal Welfare Manager from today, Friday 6 December, after nine years in the post.

Sally has been working with the Pet Industry Federation as its Internal Quality Assessor for the City & Guilds examinations for a number of years, and is now stepping up to broaden her role and develop the education function. Her brief will include overseeing the management of the PIF Grooming Training Schools, improving the user experience regarding the current range of qualifications that PIF offers and developing a variety of business-focused seminars and workshops aimed at pet specialists.
Nigel Baker, PIF Chief Executive said: ‘Sally brings a wealth of qualifications-based expertise to PIF Education. She has a deep understanding of the issues surrounding vocational qualifications and I have every confidence that her drive and determination to advance education and training at the Federation will translate into resounding success.’
Sally will be supported by Pauline Tompkins, who will continue as PIF Exams Officer.
Meriel is leaving the Federation to pursue her own interests, but will continue to work with the Pet Industry Federation on its policy work, as an External Relations Advisor.
