The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s leading professional body for marketers has recognised the professional excellence of local marketer Lindy Harper by awarding its prestigious Chartered status.
Lindy Harper who holds the position of Marketing Manager with dog grooming and animal grooming specialists Christies Direct has achieved Chartered Marketer status from CIM – the only organisation with authority to award this elite status in recognition of professional excellence.
Since being granted the authority to award Chartered Marketer status by The Queen’s Privy Council in 1998, The Chartered Institute of Marketing has been recognising professional excellence by awarding Chartered status.
Chartered status can be achieved through CIM’s Chartered CPD Programme. The programme enables members to remain professional, effective and compliant by ensuring marketers stay up-to-date in the fast-moving world of marketing.
In a competitive job market Chartered Marketer status is a great way of standing out from the crowd.
Lindy Harper said, “The CPD Programme is the best way I know to make sure I stay relevant in the fast-moving world of modern marketing. I feel the Chartered Marketer status shows my dedication to my career in marketing and my willingness to learn and grown within the industry. It underpins my knowledge and skills in the area and gives me credibility as an experienced, professional and up-to-date Marketer”.
Richard Houdmont, Regional Director for Ireland said, ”It’s difficult, if not impossible, to guarantee that a marketing campaign will be successful, but businesses can reduce risk and improve their chances of success by employing qualified, professional and up-to-date marketers. Almost half our members are registered on the Chartered CPD programme which means they’re working towards or have gained Chartered Marketer status. You wouldn’t employ an accountant, engineer or a surveyor who wasn’t keeping up to date and it’s equally important to employ marketers who can demonstrate that they’re keeping up to date. Chartered Marketers must undertake at least two years of 35 hours per annum continuing professional development. But having gained Chartered Marketer status they cannot rest on their laurels: they retain Chartered status only by demonstrating year after year that they have completed their 35 hours per annum of professional development. Lindy Harper should be proud of her achievement and CIM is proud of its Chartered Marketers.”
